Breguet is a high-end watch, clock and jewelry manufacturer based in Switzerland that also used to make aircrafts. They were founded in 1775 in Paris by Abraham-Louis Breguet. They are historically the oldest watchmaker in the entire world to still be producing watches at such a level. They were also the rst ever watch manufacturer to create a wristwatch that was specially made for the Queen of Naples in 1810. Many famous world leaders wore Breguet watches, such as Napoleon, the Tsar Alexander 1st, Winston Churchill, the king Hassan II of Morocco, Vladimir Poutine or Nicolas Sarkozy. Breguet brought many new innovations that pushed the boundaries of watchmaking at that time, for example the tourbillon. It was a complication made to limit the bending on a pocket watch’s components as time passed, making them more reliable and also creating a splendid complication still used on modern mechanical wristwatches, despite being useless on them. Breguet was also responsible for other inventions such as the self winding movements, the chronograph or even the magnetic chime regulator. Breguet survived the hardships of time and is still one of today’s most important high end watchmakers in the world, being

sadly less known than famous brands like Rolex, Audemars Piguet or Patek Philippe. Breguet watches are a statement that implies power and elegance all wrapped in one delicate masterpiece.
